If you've ever even held an angry kitten, even those little frickers will shred you in a matter of seconds. You'd have a better chance of fighting Freddy Krueger than fighting off a bobcat. Yes, from a sheer strength standpoint most grown men (few of those around here though) could put a chokehold on one and strangle it if it weren't resisting, but each of those paws is a handful of knives that will cut VERY deeply. The first swipe would have you in so much pain, you'd forget all about your plan of attack instantly.

I think if you ever had the sack to step in a cage with a bobcat, you'd be much more likely to kill yourself trying to get back out, than killing the bobcat. But you go on with your bad self.

In this scenario I believe I would be able to "kill the bobcat" pretty much every time. However I think you would have at least a 50% chance, if not more, of bleeding out from your wounds unless you had immediate medical attention. Its amazing how little blood loss it can take to put your life in danger.
