They either over shot it or undershot it depends on the landing spot

Looks like they think he was speeding. He was trapped there over night

BATON ROUGE – Police say a driver was trapped for hours overnight after crashing their vehicle into a levee on River Road. According to Baton Rouge Police, preliminary information indicates that the driver was speeding down Brightside Drive and crossed over River Road. The car then proceeded across the levee and came to rest in some trees late Sunday night or early Monday morning. The vehicle and the trapped driver was discovered hours later by drivers on River Road.

People will try anything to avoid the bridge traffic.

Speeding or not, how do you go up a levee and not have plenty of time to stop before you hit the top? Its not exactly a flat road, has to be bumpy as all can be?

Well he stole the car and had a gun on him so I'd say he wasn't the best at decision making.

It's like a 20 yard hill, you hit it going 50 and you don't have time to do anything

When can we get a traffic light at this intersection?
Turning left onto RR from bright side is a nightmare. 1) you can't tell if the cars driving south on RR are in the left turn lane or going straight, because half the cars don't use a turn signal 2) the fence and cars blocks everyone's view 3) very high traffic area with cars going 55mph (at least)
