2009 Honda Accord

Got in car tonight. Wouldn't get out of Park. Had to push the button next to hear shift to get it out of park.

Driving home. VSA light comes on with little exclamation point in triangle.

Get home. Determine that brake lights no longer work. Taillights work but when you push brake pedal, no lights.

What the hell is wrong with my car? Can I fix it myself?

99% chance that's going to be the brake light switch. Take a flashlight and see if the little plunger is stuck.

Maybe a little lube too. If you have to replace it, a business card is ~.01 inches thick and can be used to set the gap.

simple fix, the switch broke that your pedal contacts to tell the car the brake is being pressed. Easy fix and autozone or similar will hav it in stock.
