I used endurance when my transmission was acting up on my '19 F150. They put in a brand new transmission and i cancelled policy a month later.

However we are looking at a genesis gv80 and an aviator.

Get a minivan for half the cost and twice the utility.

But otherwise, yeah getting all the bells and whistles means a lot of electronics and whatnot. Sunroofs leak and motors go out etc. Plus drivetrains are now more complex than ever. So if you’re already prepared to spend $70k for an Aviator then what la a few thousand more for the full warranty.

I often get the bug to buy a new truck but then I read posts like this and the bug goes away.

Yea I agree, starting slipping at 70K miles. I bought the warranty and a month later it went out.

Car extended warranties

If you do a little searching, there are some dealers around that will sell you the warranty for the cheapest price it can be. Itll be the same warranty your dealer tries to sell you.

Join some of the F&I groups on facebook and those people will bitch about them.

If you do it go with the dealer.

Just know that the multiple thousands you spend on a dealer extended warranty will go up in smoke in an instant if you have regular maintenance done at any place other than your dealership or a dealership-approved shop. Your maintenance options are severely restricted. Say bye-bye to those time-saving 5 min oil changes or DYI repairs...or say bye-bye that $6k+ extended warranty.

Didn't happen to me. I get all of my oil changes by my house. Had extended warranty work done at both a chevy and GMC dealership with no problems.

Went with the dealer warranty. Was the cheapest based on the recommendations. It’s was the cheapest by $600. 100k or 10 years unlimited, windshield replacement, rim and tire.

Bought an extended warranty when I purchased my used truck four years ago. Last month my truck died in the driveway. Had it towed to the dealership. They called my an hour later and said my warranty had expired two months earlier and it ended up costing me $6000 to repair.

Take the ~$2000 you would spend on that warranty and invest it in something like VOO. Do this every time you think you need an extended warranty on anything and you will finish ahead in life.

Warranties are sold to make money for sellers and not to save buyers money, it is simple economics.

And that 2k's gonna go a long way when your electronic screen craps out and they hand you a $7k replacement bill.
