The festival will be held noon-4 p.m. at the intersection of 4th Street and Spanish Town Road downtown. General admission is $40, and VIP admission is $60. See more details or get tickets here. Here’s a quick guide to what you can try at this year’s event.
New to the festival this year: Houston’s Karbach Brewing Company, Colorado’s Avery Brewing Co. and California’s Ballast Point Brewing & Spirits, all of which started distributing in Louisiana this year. Also new is a Belgium beer table featuring Belgian favorites like the full-bodied, bittersweet Abt. 12 from Brouwerij St. Bernardus and The Duchesse de Bourgogne, a fermented, reddish-brown brew from Brouwerij Verhaeghe.
Louisiana’s breweries at the fest include: Bayou Teche, Chafunkta, Gnarly Barley, Parish, Southern Craft, Tin Roof, Urban South and Great Raft. You can also taste beers from around the United States from the likes of Founders, New Belgium, Saint Arnold, Clown Shoes, Prairie Artisan Ales and Sweetwater. Expect about 10 local homebrewers to be there, too.

while i like their beer, i am suspicious they are all the exact same beer just with a different fish label on each one.

I've been getting gifted bottles of white and red wines from a company we signed with. I'm officially a wineo again.
No time for beer.

I miss the days when breweries would break out the whales at these things.

pale ale's. they are excellent, but i am almost confident it is all the same, or at the very least slight variations of the same beer.

Checkpoints still a thing? You don’t hear about them like you did 5-7 years ago.
