What's the update on your job? Did they step-up and do the right thing?

quote:Yeah they changed the policies. When I do go back to work in a couple of months I'm scheduled to have face to face meetings with a lot of department heads and the owners, ceo, etc. Used to be they'd dump the employee outright but now they let the employee keep their seniority, benefits, etc when they return from the medical issues. Losing the extra weeks of vacation was the reason I really blew a gasket over it. I'd have gone from 4 weeks per year back down to having zilch until year 2. It was a bad policy that needed to change.

Congrats, that’s awesome. I’m still fighting cancer myself, stage 4 colon, always good to hear some great news. I know it’s been a long journey for you and your family. Here’s to being cancer free!

In total: 8 weeks of chemo (2 were high dose), 2 stem cell transplants, 10 surgical procedures, 14 new scars (one is 2' long across my entire abdomen), 1 less kidney, 1 less nut (rip rightie), 35 less lymph nodes in my abdomen.
Damn.
Can’t even imagine the medical bills for all of that
