Haven't had a chance to try Mission Models paints. I grew up on the old Testors, Pactra, and Model Master brands. Tamiya acrylic is really good for airbrushing, brushing it tends to dry fast and really thick unless you use a flow improver/thinner. If you get a chance check out Ammo by Mig line of paints they're pretty impressive and they also make packs specific to what you're working on.

Good work! In addition to the good craftsmanship, I can tell that you have been doing this for a while since you have made it down to the low point of the military power totem pole in Canada. You must be running out of models to build.

Nice work and thanks for posting several pics. Don't even respond to the stupids with the "how old are you" post.

First off, excellent work on the Leo. And you’re absolutely right about how relaxing building models can be. That’s one of the main things I like about the hobby. When I’m in my model office working on a kit, I can totally unplug from everything.

Right now I’m working on a French Dewoitine D.250. I’ll be off work from Friday to the first Tuesday in January so I should have plenty of time to finish this last build of 2023 up.

Who's the kit mfg? Nice subject, bit of a rare bird in WW2. You should paint it in the Vichy French markings with the orange yellow stripes.

There are so many new brands like AFV Club

Careful with AFV Club. I built this 1:35 scale Sd.KFZ 251/22 Ausf. D a few months ago. Ran in to some really tricky fit issues. The worst was between the lower and upper hull. The upper hull was basically warped. Had to secure the back of the upper to the lower then slowly work forward securing it a little at a time. Thankfully it turned out ok.

It’s a Tamiya kit. Even came with a staff car. This is the box.

I considered that but decided to go with the version shown on the box art.

Different hobby direction, but I am building my second Legos for adults set and they are amazing.

My first was the Saturn V (which of course had 1,969 pieces) and I am now working on the Coliseum (9,000 pieces).

As you suggest, this is definitely not kids play.

I have the lego lunar lander. And I thought it was going to be a piece of cake and it definitely tried me a bit. I can only imagine how those high parts kits can push you.

I was not expecting tank pics when opening this thread.

I was thinking more of this…

That leopard sure can model!

You must be running out of models to build.
—that’s close to being literally impossible in 1 lifetime. Armor, aircraft, spacecraft, ships, cars….

The car was bait to get folks to buy such an obscure bird.

Like putting a Chevy Citation X-11 in with a YF-23 model.

The obscure bird was what I was going for. I love finding lesser known vehicles and aircraft.
