I wouldn't worry about it. TSA isn't the governments biggest success story.

You're going to find out the answer soon enough.

That said, it seems pretty unlikely unless the feds are after you. Airports are tied into national systems more than local ones.

Yes. In fact, they prefer that you fly, take a bus, subway, train, or ship as opposed to driving a vehicle until it is cleared up. You will most likely be complimented for using good judgement. Might even get bumped to 1st class if you tell them that you are flying because you have a warrant out but are taking care of it.

You can afford airfare but not paying the ticket?

Sadly, arrest warrants don't interfere with your life at all until a police officer stops you for some reason, checks you out, and decides it's worth his while to bring you in.

Yes, they don't look for that unless it's international and there is a hold.

Don't listen to anyone who says no. Lol
They ain't looking up traffic records of all people flying. You can fly with a misdemeanor warrant too.

TSA doesn't give a shite about unpaid tickets, BUT if you try to use an expired or suspended DL as your ID to fly, they are gonna hassle you, They'll get you on your flight (provided they have time, so get there extra early) but you WILL be given secondary examination.

The guy who claims he was detained over a warrant in another state is full of shite, TSA doesn't have the ability to check for warrants nor do they have the power to detain you. Their database checks with Homeland Security only and Homeland doesn't put people on a no fly list over a warrant for an unpaid fricking traffic ticket.

Now, a felony that's a different matter. In the case of a felony you will be put on a no flight list and yes airport security can detain you , and they will, but again the guy is full of shite because they wouldn't put you on a flight and say "go pay your ticket" in his case Georgia would have been willing to extradite which means they would have to go to where he is in jail and take him back to Georgia and even at that you have rights and can fight the extradition, they can't just put you on a flight back to wherever you are wanted. And NO ONE is going to extradite over a brench warrant for failure to pay.

A bench warrant for your arrest can absolutely be issued for failure to pay a speeding ticket. No one is going to extradite over it, but the warrant can be issued.
