My state is now nearing ICU capacity at many hospitals due to a surge in COVID cases.
The virus is still here and still killing people or making them severely ill enough to need ICU care.

LA got hit hard much earlier than we did.
We also lifted most of our restrictions before LA. Businesses have been free to open (many still need to observe some restrictions) since May 15

I remember hearing the same thing about Montgomery Alabama a few weeks ago, now nothing.
You may be right, but I’ll wait and see where this goes before we say for sure what is happening yet.

People here went wild Memorial Day weekend as well. We had many come from out of state cause all our bars and clubs were open. Scottsdale bars and clubs looked like business as usual and were crowded and packed. No social distancing and no one wearing masks.
Another issue is Navajo Nation(majority of Navajo Nation in AZ). They have been hit really hard. They have limited medical facilities and I would imagine they are shipping patients to other hospitals in AZ. I know my hospital got a couple patients from there recently.

I think most are assmad due to the obvious media hypocrisy on the matter regarding social events i.e. protests. Covid went from being a country killing virus when people in Michigan were protesting the lockdown to a non-issue that the media pretends doesn't exist now that riots are happening for the sake of 'social justice.'
I'm among the assmad to be fair. Being told for months we can't do anything for fears of killing grandma to watching a bunch of jackasses get pats on the back while they give approximately 0 fricks about any virus prevention is pretty damn infuriating.
