OT went to extreme working to solve the case. Somewhere along the way one of the posters figured out Brandon Lavergne was dating his sister (or SIL maybe). Poster had to go back and redact a bunch of posts as LE was closing in on Lavergne.

It was the original thread that I had started and it got whacked over that. It caused a big uproar with the OT and a second and final thread was started.

If I recall, the poster's dad started to question whether it was Lavergne, who was dating his daughter (poster's sister) because Lavergne had some injuries that were consistent with someone trying to fight him off.. Or something along those lines. It seems like there was something else that made the dad and poster suspicious and it turned out he was the guy. Pretty crazy.
