Well Mitch found 3 million overnight for the statue removal and then bragged that he could raise 18-20 million privately in no time. Maybe he can do some good.

Not sure where you got $3million from. $1.1 million the city paid and another $1million in Private donation. Knowing your love for NOLA the fake $3 million number is pretty generous

In New Orleans, ten and on-half inches of rain fell on the metropolitan area; eight and two-tenths inches fell between 7:45 and noon, which was double the amount which could be pumped from the streets.

Maintenance.

SWB gives tours all the time to their stations. Request one if you'd like to go. Some of them have over 10 pumps. And they are marvels:

It doesn't seem crazy that some would be down for maintenance, and I'm sure a 12' pump isn't quick to repair.

Hard to believe that Marrero and Harvey have it better than Mid City and Broadmore.

The only perspective is that New Orleans sits in a bowl that's below sea level...it's going to flood every time it rains. End of story

You might have a point, except any time someone uses the term 'End of Story' or 'PERIOD' to help make their argument, it automatically causes me to assume that they are full of crap.

New Orleans is below sea level. Mother nature will win. What is so hard to understand about this?

I got an inch and half of rain in 15 minutes today on my job site. These are becoming more frequent than I ever remember.
