exactly. price point simply means PRICE. a singular point on a numerical continuum.
now if a price is variable, we use the term PRICE RANGE
price point is for morons

i see it as the cutoff point where the price becomes either a good or bad deal. i think it's only used with items that change price

correct. it's accurate, good use of language. Price point is sloppy, unsophisticated and poseresque. trying to sound sophisticated but results in sounding like a moron.
