The media was not inciting riots during the Bush years and leading up to his elections. Yeah, they didn’t like him, but it’s much different with Trump.

True. But Trump is also the first Republican President in the era of social media. That, with their total disdain for him, his “go F yourself” attitude towards them, and you have this powder keg.
