Wrong on both counts. If the treadmill is going in the opposite direction it has zero ground speed and thus zero airspeed. No air is flowing over the wings since the plane is stationary in space (even though the wheels are turning), so no lift, so no flight.
And again, this was already done.
A belt whose speed exceeded the plane’s velocity didn’t pull the plane back

Found another one! Why are engineers egos so fragile?

because you will exceed the speed of the belt?
Just like the plane would in this scenario.

You just can't stop proving my point, can you? If you guys had dicks half the size of your egos, you'd be porn stars.

You're absolutely right, but don't even try... I'm amazed at the level of stupidly in this thread from people who I thought were intelligent and had a basic knowledge of aerodynamics.

Not at all. But congrats on you showing another angle of you making assumptions and redefining the world on them.
I wasn’t defending his credentials as an engineer. Just attacking your shitty logic. And even when pointed out to you, you still didn’t connect his meationing his career was related to you mentioning yours.

He's not absolutely right. You assumed the treadmill is stationary. If that sounds stupid, it wasn't an accident.

BTW, I like how you deflected a question you couldn’t make up an answer to with a question to made to someone else some other time.

WHAT? Where did I attack him for mentioning his career? I ASKED HIM WHAT HE DID FOR A LIVING. Now who has shitty logic?

Planes can fly with wheels not moving at all because the thrust of the engine is on the atmosphere (no trust to the wheels).

No it won't because the force of the treadmill will not be applied on the plane in such a way that would cancel out the force of thrust.

Of course I assumed it was stationary.. I've never seen a treadmill or conveyor belt not stationary..

Sure, A plane does not move by transmitting power from the engine through the wheels. The wheels are only there for vertical support so that the belly of teh plane is not messed up while taking off. Because no power is transmitted to the wheels, no force from teh treadmill would be transmitted to the plane.

"My side" isn't confused at all.

What do you think makes something fly? Is this hypothetical taking place somewhere where Newtons laws don't apply?

could put a regulator on the wheels so that they do not exceed the speed of the belt.
Will this draft be because I am moving forward?

Because no power is transmitted to the wheels,
