I have to change my address on my class A CDL license, means I've gotta go to the one on Independence in BR. What time should I get there to secure my first spot in line so I don't have to deal with the frickheads that infest this city?

So I've heard from many people - I'll likely take a day off next week and get there around 7am and park my arse at the front door.

$18 is MORE than a bargain to not have to deal with any DMV.

The Express at Siegen/Perkins is awesome. And you can pay $14 to get "express" service (Express at Express?). I was in/out in about 10 minutes.

I've always renewed online but in the past year or so the state changed the license ("upgraded security features")so if you have an older one you have to renew in person.

The only way you can renew online is if you get a letter from them saying so.

I was disappointed they hadn't implemented the 6-year version yet.

If you live in BR, make the 15 minute drive to the New Roads DMV, they never have anyone waiting there.

I think it has to be the same state that issued the license originally, unless you moved.

Yes. drove by Alexandria office on my birthday, pulled a number, was 50 back. Said screw that and stopped in Winnfield office on my way to Ruston. 2 workers, no line. Got done in 5 minutes.
