Thought you people only bought vehicles that were the color of used tampons?

As stated in the OP; I already have a shell lift in my garage from a Ram I had with a shell a few years ago.

I think used tampons are currently being discussed on the soccer board.

Sorry, I forgot about that Eli... jmho, go with a shell; a tonneau is a pain in the long run, especially for tall cargo.

Have another dozen Hot Dogs, RTR!

Cargo height is the main reason I’m thinking shell. These trucks don’t have 6’ deep beds like the American trucks.
I just don’t want to make my truck look too much like a PeePaw’s.

A shell is going to kill gas mileage. It will also be a load on the anemic 3.4 and 6 speed trans. I had a '16 for less than a year, switched to a 4Runner, much happier.

Isn’t a 4Runner basically the same thing as a Tacoma with a shell?
A shell for that little Tacoma bed wouldn’t weigh much more than 100 Lbs.

3.4 was sluggish, and weak. The 6 speed over shifted, hunted and was indecisive. Gas mileage was good at 23mpg, but dropped to 15 when pulling my 4 wheeler. There were lots of whistles, rattles and different things. Probably fixed some of those by now, '16 was the 1st year of this generation. It was also too small for me and my 3 boys to go anywhere with anything that needed to be in the cab.

4Runner has alot bigger interior and has the 4.0 and 5 speed, not the 3.4 out of the Camry.

So basically, he spent $35K+(TTL) for a Camry with a small truck bed?
Posted on 5/4/19 at 5:36 pm to Eli Goldfinger
You bought a truck with a bed the size of a wheel barrow. You need all the expansion room you can get, so leave it open.
Posted on 5/4/19 at 5:45 pm to Eli Goldfinger
A camper top turns your truck into a SUV. A cover turns your bed into a trunk.

Check out the Diamondback covers. Just got one for my Tundra and I love it.
