Calling OT electricians

I have an outdoor electrical outlet that has stopped working. It's just one outlet, not all of them.
It doesn't have a reset button, so it's connected to another GFI outlet. I've reset every one I can find in my house to no avail. I've tripped all the GFi labeled breakers on my panel. Still isn't working. Any ideas?

Take out the receptacle and test the wires for 120 voltage. Old outdoor receptacles can have issues. If you've got current, change the receptacle.

If it's an older house, check the bathroom GFI's

If half the house is 2 prong ungrounded and half is three with gfcis, what's the procedure for getting the two prong side up to code? Run grounds from the breaker box?

Put gfci at the first receptacle in the ungrounded circuit.
At gfci the remaining circuit should be on load side

This. I have changed 3 outside receptacles this summer and my house is 11 years old. Could just be corrosion as well.

About a month ago, I had the same problem with an outlet on my patio. Called a electrician friend and he told me to replace the outlet. He said that if that didn't work to call him and he would come over and take a look. Went to Lowe's, bought new outlet and replaced old one. Now it works fine.

Check with a meter. Receptacle might be bad.

Is it switched? Might be a yard light circuit.

check with a meter as said if you can. Put the volt meter probe tip on the screw and also on the wire. The connection could be very corroded from moisture. You could get reading from wire but not screw.
It would be best to disconnect from screw terminal and sand the wire and and screw head and the metal plate where wire touches. Do for hot wire and neutral. Be sure to turn off at breaker for this.

Might want to put this at the beginning of your post.

Ended up being a loose connection. I have a charcoal lighter that is a little tough to unplug. I guess last time I pulled so hard something came loose.
Thanks guys.
