Not if you're just hanging out in the left lane not passing anyone, but you think in your mind that you are actually passing everyone. Half of the people on the road have no idea that there are other cars on the same road

I call *LSP all the time on obvious drunks and dangerous assholes. I've never seen them actually catch someone, though. They always seem to have an abundance of troopers traveling the opposite direction from where I need them.

The guy seemed almost giddy and said to look for Troopers in the area because he was about to broadcast it out.
They do that so you feel better about calling.
They aren't going to send/divert/actually move a unit because someone calls in a suspicious driver.

Seriously something like this happened to me one.. Well I was with a group of friends, it was five of us and we were going to Hammond. We were on I-12 and this car was trying to get over, but I couldn't get in position to allow him to get over, but once I was able to, dude switches over 2 lanes, gets on side of us and throws a bottle at us. We started following this fricker, everyone was ready to beat the piss out of these two thug wanna bes. Then they took the Denham Springs exit, we took it as well, but we lost them getting off, there were a few cars between us and them.
This was several years ago, but some of the dudes I had with me were nut jobs and would have gone nuts on them cats.

Once in college I followed a guy that threw what looked like a c battery at my truck. I stayed a couple cars back and found out where he lived.
Put a cinder block through his windshield later that night. I would like to think I won that war

You did right. Maniac was driving all over the road and pissed about not being able to continue speeding. You were going fast as is. I'm sure you will not get into trouble.
Side note: say I have a light bar- four bright lights (like they do at the top of jeeps) put on my car facing behind me. Dude comes speeding up and flashing lights. I turn them on and leave them be until the other car stops tailgating.
Could I get into trouble with the police?

You sound like someone I would be tempted to report for road rage. I don't know anything about light bars, but that sounds highly illegal.
Do you drive a red Ford focus?

There's plenty of assholes on the road, just make sure you don't get killed dealing with them. I had some dude in his 50's speed up behind me in his 1500, then swerve into the next lane and cut in front of me all right before a red light. Like, I don't even know how you justify that.

I've never done it, but I would bet nothing happens.
Would be my bet. Several years ago an old woman almost swiped me hauling arse past me so I call and the operator says "what do you want us to do about it?"
Pretty much just told her that if I see the lady in a wreck a mile or two up the road and didn't call that I would feel like shite.
