I get pissy when something is posted as fact but not close to the truth. Within seconds, all that is accomplished is a shite on California contest of wit. You know? It's inconceivable why gotcha threads are so popular.

Soooo... you don't know what federal tax policy they're referring to?

It's a lie... this is attached to everything in order to shame people into agreeing with it. This is completely absurd.

I'm not trying to win. Relax.

I'm genuinely curious as to what federal tax burden they're trying to offset. Good Lord

But, you know what's equally absurd? SPEEDY posted stats on the voter turnout for a tax hike vote Saturday for... Baton Rouge. A tax to cover additional monies needed due to prior tax hike absurdity. Point is, how is LA any different than CA?

26% turnout. 74% laziness. Be better than CA before you laugh at CA.

But muh liberal shithole.

California is awesome. It’s the stupid policies that make it a place to make fun of. The actual scenery, weather, etc is amazing. Much better than the shitholes that cover most of Louisiana.

I love that your response to thinking California is stupid for some bullshite proposed tax is to burn the entire state off the map

Lol are retroactive taxes constitutional?

Has something being Constitutionally questionable ever stopped California before? They've got the 9th circuit to make sure it gets to the SCOTUS before they get dickslapped.

I'm curious as to why the state thinks that a phone is so important they are willing to tax everyone else so others can have it. It's not a right to have a phone.

Heard this about an hour or so ago. Speedy you are indeed.

Does the article say how much?? Retroactive 5 yrs will make me broke as all I do is text. And no way this would be legal as you would have to force the companies to give the govt your phone logs.

(Yes I judge thread creators by their speedy in getting news on here. As I have found this place a reasonable source of news. Just wish it was more spread out of LA a little more.)

Am I out of touch if I think phones are already widely affordable and available for low income people?

I have never in my life heard of someone in today’s world who cannot afford a cell phone. You might not be able to afford certain data plans or the newest gadgets, but there is no way someone even on min wage can’t afford a phone
