Victim's name is mentioned as "Mykal Jones" which I'm gonna assume is pronounced "Michael". This leads me to another unfounded conclusion - I imagine he and the shooter were probably similar in regard to many physical and cultural attributes. Probably Canadians.

I'm going to assume they are more of the creole persuasion and not cajun.

I’d be banned if i said what a Pitkin relative’s definition of creole is

Down South Cajjun Eats restaurant in northeast Austin
Looks more like a soul food place than Cajun restaurant. It's annoying how many of those places and daiquiri spots have appropriated the Cajun name.

Always a good idea to avoid any restaurant with "cajun" in the name outside of south Louisiana.

Mostly true. I did find one spot in a small mountain town in Colorado and the guy was from SW LA and was legit. Huge LSU fan as well. Had a great meal and spent most the afternoon hanging out.

Most of Austin is fine. The areas to avoid are on the northeast (St John’s, Georgian Acres, Rundberg Ln) and southeast (Riverside/Oltorf, Montopolis) sides. Even then, those spots aren’t anywhere near as bad as the hoods in BR or Nola (with the exception of Rundberg).

Damn. If I'm not mistaken, I believe that video shows every black person in the greater metro area, all in one bar.
