Is the opinion of Dr. Paul R. McHugh, the former psychiatrist-in-chief for Johns Hopkins Hospital enough for you? I really don't feel like going and finding the actual case studies, but I can.

It certainly took some level of intestinal fortitude to come out, especially at his advanced age and previous athletic accomplishments.
To say what he did is worthy of a award, when compared to the other candidates, is ridiculous IMO.
Going through life with a missing foot and arm and then competing in extremely athletic events is pretty damn award-worthy.

Saying someone is mentally illness can mean they have anxiety issues or bi polar....the fact that when discussing this means the mental illness means you are unstable and tranny is just labeling people who you want and not medically.
And what about the studies that are abundent that show that being trans is in your genetics. Identical twins share genes and are around 40 percent to both he gay if one is. But saying a genetic disorder doesnt make people sound crazy so we can ignore those studies.
Fwiw i have no doubt trans people have anxiety from the stress they go under around time they come out becsuse im sure is.scary.
