What is that house on top of one of the tallest buildings in Monroe? Anyone from there knows what I'm talking about. A regular suburban house on the roof of what I guess is an office building downtown. I've always wondered.

I actually live in this building. It is condos on floors 2-8 with office buildings on the first and the owner of the building lives in the "house"on the top floor. The building is actually the old Penn hotel, and from I have been told some state congressman had the "house" built for a place to stay when he was in Monroe in the 1920s. The "house" is really nice and actually for sale right now for around a million dollars.
