I live about four hours away from NOLA but am wanting to take my son to the Warriors/Pels game Friday night. I'm looking online at stubhub, ticketmaster, and seatgeek but all of the tickets are upper deck to be below 100 bucks. Has anyone had any luck buying good tickets right before the game from scalpers or should I just pony up and buy the tickets online before making a four hour trip? This will be my first NBA game in NOLA but have been to several Saints games.

You are asking if you should chance a 4 hour drive on scalpers...

There will be scalpers for sure..introduce your son to the black market of ticket buying early.

Check the scalpers then if all else fails, buy on stubhub right before the game.

Yeah that's what I was thinking about doing. I read that unsold tickets drop a lot an hour or so before the game.

Tickets are probably going to be harder to find since it's the Warriors.

Don’t know if I’ve ever been out there and not witnessed at least some tickets for sale.

So for peace of mind you aren’t willing to spend $100 more extra and instead drive 4 hours to Nola, hopefully find a scalper, and if not then hopefully find two tickets available on stubhub?

Maybe I’m just different but if that’s what it takes I’d rather not even go, especially to drive 4 hours to sit in the uppers

I drove from Dallas to Baton Rouge last year for the bama game without tickets.

Ended up in 102 row 14 for just above face value right before walking in.

For the last time, scalpers provide liquidity in the ticket market and take on risk and put for the effort in doing so. If they didn't provide an economic good or service, they wouldn't exist.

Have you checked the ticket board?....if not, you probably should.
