A 6-8k sqft house is more than enough and spacious for a 4-5 person family.
Personally I am spending my $ on more land than more house.

This is such a I've listened to Dave Ramsey once before take. Much like people did to Rush Limbaugh.
Lol no.
Are you claiming he doesn’t hate on all forms of debt, as opposed to educating the population to use it as a tool? Be mindful and careful with it, as with any tool that can severely injure yourself, but still use the electric saw.
Are you claiming that he doesn’t advocate damaging ones retirement assets because he’s so anti debt that he wants to make sure you don’t ever borrow a penny so before you even begin saving for retirement, have >12k cash lying around. It doesn’t matter if the company offers a 1:1 match....skip that opportunity and save depreciating cash! Because if you ever borrow, you are a failure!
Are you claiming that he in spite of being so anti debt, he doesn’t advocate payoff methods targeting the most expensive debt first? He instead targets quick psychological payoffs as opposed to the mathematical ones.
GTFO of there with that pompous dismissive BS and go stuff some cash budget envelopes or something.

Dave Ramsey is responsible for more divorced couples than herpes.

And then he goes on tangents about other things like looking for employment.
“Nobody gets a job by applying online. You need to print out your resume and go knocking on doors and don’t take no for an answer!”...immediately followed by a commercial for his company saying they’re hiring and to apply online.

His advice is rock solid and applicable for 95% of the American people. Yes, if you are smart enough and paying attention to your income and expenses you can do it without him, but far less people are doing that than care to admit it.
Dave does have some right ideals, but his software and online materials are wonky at best. Good thing I found that out while I was still in a trial. Not only that, his system starts to sound like a money racket. No wonder why he was able to afford such a house.
Some of his stuff can get a little cultish. Almost like some of those Facebook Warrior Weightloss health coaches that brag about themselves and post random crap about their story and offer discounted services.
Back to my story, I found a good financial spreadsheet that did the same thing and illustrated what I needed to do to get on a better financial footing for a fraction of his costs. The other thing is that most of his advice is really for infotainment purposes, for some issues you should still contact an attorney or financial advisor although he does endorse local providers who pay to list their services.

But who could afford it besides Garth, Alan Jackson? Maybe Derick Henry? I’m guessing he’s hoping for someone from California in tech to buy it
There is a lot of intergenerational wealth in the Nashville area, very little of which is from country stars and pro athletes. There are dozens of homes in the 10 million plus range in the area.

Yeah, his house is big and expensive, but it's just another one in the sea of big and expensive houses in the area. I'm OT poor, so I do work in a lot of those houses for OT rich people, and his is nothing special when you compare it to others in the metro area.
