I've always wondered just how accurate that dating app study that says men basically view women's attractiveness on a bell curve and women think something like 90% of men are below average (don't remember the actual numbers) is

There is a solid Youtuber on this topic - hoe_math - he explains the entire post-Third Wave feminism phenomenon of hypergamy in great detail.
The tl;dr version of hoe_math is - Every girl 7 and up chases the top 0.1% of men who are more than willing to spread the love around and men 7 and below are basically "non-people" to girls even on about the same level (or a little below) them. Even the 4s to 6s are chasing 7s because they view someone roughly at their level "beneath" them. Girls also believe they "are" the table. This explains the entire filter arms race, disproportionate rates of matches on dating apps, the incel movement, etc.
