What type of Church is it? If it’s the one I’m thinking of it’s a trap they built to get children to slip into the doors and into their arms.

most often its from automatic watering systems that run on timers and arent easy to shut off unless you shut off the main water to the buildings. if done properly they add shut off valves to them but they are not always right
