the New Orleans Pelicans. Arena is always empty. I have always said they will be the team that moves back to Seattle eventually
Get out of here. Benson bought the team for $338M. In 2016 they generated $142M in income, in 2015 they generated $131 in income, 2014 $116 M. He bought the team in 2012.. And just in the three years I mentioned, the total was more than what he paid for the team.

In big cities like Houston you can get your button downs dry cleaned or laundered for like $1-2 a shirt

I would have assumed that travel agencies would have gone out of business once the internet took off. Anyone can do that job now

Good topic. I wonder this same thing all the time when driving by random arse stores. These below pop into my head now, but there are so many more. And dry cleaners are pretty important and used monthly if not weekly by a ton of people.
Lamp / fan stores
Rug stores
Vacuum stores
Hastings - cb stores

Dollar General. Literally 5 of them in a 20 mile span on the same road near me. It's like the worst run WalMarts that got hit with a shrink ray.

How about TV repair shops? I know it sounds bad but TV's are so cheap now that I'd rather just get a new one.

The Alexandria Daily Town Talk and most other papers owned by Gannett seem to be trying to put themselves out of business. They're fricking worthless.
There was a time I would have said Burger King, but a number of them are actually figuring out that they need to do a better job of customer service.

$11 Million?
But they are worth over $700M which is double what it was bought for.

Do you realize Dollar General is Walmart's biggest in store retail competitor?

Yeah, the town paper here is crap. It comes out one day a week. The only people I assume who still subscribes are older people.. If there is something specific anyone wants to see, who doesn't subscribe, they go pick up a copy at the gas station. There isn't much content and there isn't as many ads as it once had.. So I have no clue how they stay open.

The Pelicans are the lowest valued franchise in the NBA. I don't care about your bloated numbers. A lot of things need to change in order for the Pelicans to stay in NOLA long term

Its last on the list of worth and profits. The guys statement wasn't ridiculous and your reply proved nothing

Hate to say this but churches ( not chicken). I'm talking about the small ones in rural areas The ones you see about six or seven cars. They must get grants to stay open

Typical chris post
Does anybody else have a one-hour Martizing store in their neighborhood? I dont but Ive always wondered what Martinizing was and why it being done in under an hour was an accomplishment. My friend Martin and I were hanging out once and some guy made fun of me for being in a chair and Martin and I beat him up and he died.
Martin buried the body behind an auto parts store and started acting weird and his mom moved his family to Canada so I haven't seen him in a long time.
I thought about getting a Facebook account to track him down and ask him which auto parts store because sometimes I shop for auto parts for my van.

Yes I do. But Walmart even tried to compete with their own versions of DG and they all went belly up or the ones I'm aware of at least. The last DG I went in I had to scream out for the one of two employees working in one to come check me out. I imagine the theft in these stores(the newer ones) with 2 ft wide isles and almost non existent staff is astronomical.

The preacher probably makes each member donate half of their income.
