I used the 6 inch walls for more insulation, no sound from room to room as when my grand kids are there a deaf man couldn't sleep. Plus we put plywood before sheetrocking due to picture hanging, sound, and insulation. You could shoot a cannon in one bedroom and barely hear it in another one.

As another posted mentioned, raise those counters in the bathrooms a couple of inches, maybe four, as it will be noticeable as hell once you do it and you'll like it.

Besides the vent caps on the roof (architect shingles) we also put in a couple of whirly bird vents on the back side. I know they might look trashy to some but the vent fans I've had in old house didn't work long at all. You can get those in colors to match the roof/shingles or spray paint them. They let a lot of heat get out of that attic in summer but with all our insulation, they barely move during winter.

8. Installed a three way switch in bed room. Turn on lights with entering and with switches at headboard to turn off.

That is what bedside lamps are for.

One thing to add. All outside spot lighting is controlled in the master bedroom. Also, I can turn on the front porch and back patio lighting from there or at the front door or back door.

Our contractor made the mistake of putting the thermostat for the bedrooms in the hallway, which is vented with the main house air conditioner (not the bedrooms). So, in short, put the thermostat for your bedroom AC in your bedroom.

What about wood floors? We love the look of cypress or heart pine floors but know they are soft and will dent and scratch easily. We want real wood floors, not laminate or tile that looks like wood.
We put the wood look tile in.

After you’ve cleaned that wood floor a few times you’ll be wishing you’d have gotten the tile. Especially if you have pets. It’s also easily replaceable if there’s ever a problem, just get a few extra boxes of tile and a bag of grout.

Just put in Marketplace RPF Vinyl Plank flooring throughout our house. Looks/feels great under foot, is extremely durable, waterproof (can put it in kitchen & bathrooms without worry) and is very easy to change/replace if ever needed. Very happy with it.

We had ~800 Sq Ft of ceramic tile we had to take out. It was a freaking disaster. The contractors spent 3 straight days hammer drilling and sanding off the thinset to get the floor back to level. My house is covered in dust even after we did everything possible to keep the dust down. I will never ever do anything with ceramic again, if I can help it.
