Building a deck
Was thoroughly disappointed this wasn't about Magic the Gathering, had a red/green deck I really wanted to share.

Keep in mind that coated deck screws cost somewhere around 800 dollars a piece

If you’re going with wood, use 2x6’s instead of deck boards. Trust me. More expensive but looks a lot better and they don’t curl.

Deck boards won’t curl on 16 inch centers. That being said, if the deck is super deep, bot not too long, it might be cheaper to do less joists on 24 inch centers with 2x6 deck boards. I doubt it though.

I did mine on 4x4 sills. At the time it was cheaper and required me to auger less holes.. I’m not a carpenter by any stretch but I’ve built mine and 3 family members and it is easy. I did buy an auger from haror freight for mine and that thing has punched hundreds of holes in the ground. I also ised the strongman hangers from lowes for joists. The biggest thing was making it squared and deciding on lengths and width to minimize waste. Dude quoted my mom 8400 and we did it over 2 weekends for 2700 with 2 guys and my wife.

Ain’t no bs. An underestimated cost.
I’ll dig them out of old used lumber.
