Went once to the one in Richmond. Don't get the hype.

It's incredibly overhyped but it is very nice and the chicken burrito I got last time I was there was very good even if it was overpriced.

I wish I got exited about a huge gas station. I don’t understand those that do, but I wish I could go to that level. Big things would be insane level of excitement

Personally, I don’t mind a gas station bathroom that doesn’t resemble a 1980’s Turkish prison.

Just started bidding construction for phase 1 of roads on Ruston location. Mayor is saying now 2nd quarter of 2026 for completion.

Before 2026? The last I heard they were having to rebuild and expand on/off ramps and service roads along I-20 before it was built.

Probably not a place the locals would pull in for a gallon of milk and a bread.

More of a traveling stop. Good clean place to fill up, take a dump or pee, grab some road snacks and let the kids walk off some energy.

Sure will beat most all the other I-10 pit stops where you feel the need to put on surgical gloves and mask before entering the restroom.

Buccees is the place you want ideally located 3-4 hrs from your starting point on your way to presumed final arrival destination somewhere in Texas or in the Southeast or Florida beaches.

I don’t think it’s something you crave in or near your hometown. How many people in Lafayette are truly clamoring for clean gas station bathrooms? Just go home

ETA: for other Louisiana travelers. If you’re leaving Lake Charles and headed east or you’re leaving BR and headed west … if your first stop is in Lafayette an hour away, you’re doing it wrong. Unless you want boudin or cracklins for the trip.
