I looked all around that place and couldn't find the family planning center.

What type of lowlife brings their wife to a public restroom to discuss starting a family, anyway?

Indeed. For the preeminent gas station experience get yourself to a Sheetz. Puts all others to shame.

Used to live in Pittsburgh and I am familiar with Sheetz. It's on par with a newer Racetrack station on the gulf coast. You can usually clean bathroom there, but it's largely just an above average gas station with a decent roadside cafe integrated into it. Definitely far better than most of the crap around PA. I would stop at Sheetz before other stores for gas when traveling.

As far as Buc-ee's:

Buc-ee's are roughly 20,000 square feet of retail and food service, then about 100 gas pumps, a couple of dozen ice machines. Different ball game than the one Sheetz is playing. The only similarities is that you can order your food on a touch screen and customize it. But Sheetz has far inferior food and coffee.

If you look at it through the prism of a gas station, you will be super impressed. If you are expecting what some of the posters are raving about on here, you will be disappointed.

Went to the newer Buc-ee's in Alabama--it's amazing how rednecks can ruin a good thing. Bathroom was trashy. Not as disgusting as the average gas station, but trashy.

It's impossible to keep up with the volume. The first one I went to had just opened a week before and it was a zoo. Hated it for a while after that.

When I was calling on customers in Dallas, I usually used hotel lobby restrooms when possible. They're always clean. Before we had cell phones, I used one of the payphones in the larger hotel lobbies. Beat the hell out of any gas station.
