I'd think Aggravated Assault with a firearm, illegal possession of a firearm, and simple burglary would be proper charges.

I thought so at first too. 14:3 reads:
Those who have not reached the age of ten years are exempt from criminal responsibility. However, nothing in this article shall affect the jurisdiction of juvenile courts as established by the constitution and statutes of this state.
So can juvenile courts still have delinquency proceedings?

I read the "however" disclaimer in the statute after I posted it.. I guess they yield to a local jurisdiction.

I hadn't ever noticed the "however" disclaimer til just now either. So I'm kinda bothered now. I always thought little kids were so lucky Bc they could get away with murder.

Probably. But why is this important to you?
If the judicial system was smart, they'd remove both from their parents and place them where they have a chance. but this won't happen. They are already home an will probably continue to follow those they look up to in the neighborhood.
Anyway, this will end up a happy pile on thread, like many others.

It situations like this one, let's just track down the fathers of the juveniles and cut their dicks off. At best it may serve as a deterrent to future poor parenting from others, at worst at least you're keeping shitty fathers from producing more offspring.
