The fact that you have more downvotes than upvotes shows exactly how little posters on here know about either fighter Chuck would kill him anwhere the fight took place in any way he wanted to.
People aren't very rational when it comes to Bruce Lee.

Im aware of all of that. I was drawing a comparison of a hypothetical that could now, never occur.

Do you have a counter or did you just miss my point?

Not saying anything more than that. Have seen him referenced enough to suggest it deserves some merit

I'm friends with a guy who trained with Joe Lewis.

They had a bunch of talks about Bruce Lee and although Lewis didn't think he was as good as hyped still respect Lee and how hard he trained.

Regardless of all the hype, Lee was still a great martial artist.

Any UFC fighter of today would take him down in about 10 seconds and beat him to a pulp.

What do you think would happen if he fought a modern UFC fighter? Got a few people laughing at the notion but no substantive responses.

Obviously he trained hard to have a physique like he had, but he never had an actual fight or even competed in a martial arts tournament at the elite level that chuck, Lewis, Benny the jet, or Bill superfoot Wallace did.

Exactly.

Let's just say for the sake of this argument that at the time of his death (or in the years prior), Bruce Lee was the best no hold barred fighter in the world. It's a huge leap, of course, because there's no substantiated record if his beating a legitimate opponent, but let's just pretend.

We're talking about a man who's martial arts exploits took place during the 60's. I realize he was a phenomenal athlete. But please compare for a moment the athletes of today vs athletes back then. He was 5'6"/5'7", 130 pounds.

You'll have to forgive me for thinking that any decent fighters in the UFC would manhandle him.

There are actually people here that would argue Bruce Lee > 6'4" 205 lb Jon Jones. It's bizarre

People are delusional when it comes to Bruce Lee. Think he was the best fighter of all time... with no fighting experience. It's crazy.

Yep. His greatest talent was self promotion.

There are few things in pop culture more overhyping than Bruce Lee. Almost no substantive proof of his prowess. To the contrary, that one video of him punching a bag shows he doesn't really have any fighting skills. He was an actor with a ripped physique.

I always think of Van Damme getting his arse kicked outside that bar.

So, Zito asked Van Damme to step outside. The way Zito puts it in the Daily News, the so-called Muscles from Brussels took off his glasses and was "gearing up to come at me."

"I just didn't give him a chance," Zito says. No, he didn't. Zito floored Mr. Hard Target with a one-two suckerpunch combo.

Rourke played peacemaker: "If I weren't there, Chuck would have killed him," the actor tells the Daily News.

Van Damme left the club under his own power, reportedly signing autographs on the way out.

Those are the best.

I'd place my money on Tyson putting him in the ICU really quickly
