Make no mistake the police "reform" they want is for criminals to be left alone. These leaders profit off of ignorance and squalor. The moment that thousands of NBR residents start moving out of poverty is bad news for Gravy.

Yeah, him and his ilk have a vested interest in ensuring there is constant conflict in which they are "the voice of the people". The minute race isn't an issue is the moment that these people start going broke so they have to keep lighting fires so they can turn around and put them out.

There is nothing that government can do to fix that. Blaming teachers for failing schools and cops for being too harsh is just passing the buck away from those who are responsible

I'm aware when a student tells me that they don't like white people and I ask why and the response is, "because they run shite." I know there is no hope. That student comes from a home where nothing will change and they have to adapt to that because very few will buck the system. Those that do, will move past their place in life and become better than their peers/parents, but many will fall into the same cycle as those people.

I'm not going to say it is a majority but a few. They have a lot of good kids being raised, however, those that are not so good are the most vocal. The attitude of most of the kids is that they want to learn and that they want to better themselves, out of 90 kids I have maybe 10-20 who have the mentality I described. These students are ages 10-14 right now

Correct, which presents a problem. I spend more time trying to correct behavior than teaching and those that want to learn suffer. Which ends up me getting behind trying to get the unruly ones in line and then those that want to learn and can learn end up behind. It is a vicious cycle and one that is a problem, if the parents at home don't care about school then the students won't care

I think there is a lot of merit to sentencing reform for drugs and what not but I can't help but feel wary that it will give way to the race hucksters pushing for more and more. I feel like the future will consist of a lot of decrees like Mitch made where juveniles are basically allowed to run amok.

I'm a big believer in education and school in general. I think anyone has the ability to learn and can learn if they are willing to work. Every child may not be an A student but they can still learn and still end up in college with a great job. The issue that I run into is they don't believe that because of how previous teachers have treated them, friends have reacted, and their home life. They feel they need to act a certain way which hurts their learning and the learning of others. I do believe that the US should adopt a new system. One in which at 8th grade we determine which kids are college bound and which are not. Those that are not we start training them in jobs such as plumbing, mechanics, operators, etc... then those that want to go to college continue outside of the technical classes.

A lot... you have a lot of kids who think those 10-20 are "popular" so they want to emulate those kids. Then because of the antics in class other kids participate because if not they are ridiculed. As I said it can be a vicious cycle

I agree with legalization of drugs, but I doubt it will have the effects that these people claim it will have. They will engage in different illegal black market activities if all drugs were legalized. It's not some sort of golden bullet.

Those 10-20 kids cost me a lot of money each month in tuition. I know that we could move but it's almost a non starter with my wife right now while the kids are in school.

And do you feel like that's something that teachers or the school system can fix?
