Early speculation is that the officers shot the K9 while trying to shoot the bad guy. shite happens when people are throwing lead. Doesn’t absolve the guy for pulling a gun on the PO PO.

Looks like they released the k9 on him, he then pulled out gun, then was shot. Videos don’t show the shooting or gun.

I don’t think that police releasing videos of these things every time they happen is a very good precedent to follow as it puts cops on trial before an ignorant public, many of whom have an anti-police agenda already, and none of whom know all the facts behind it. It’s similar to showing a video to a jury pool prior to even selecting a jury or presenting a case.
That being said, I think it’s safe to say these videos are almost always going to be released like this when the suspect is black.

Black or white, you should have fair treatment from the police. These videos help provide that.

What in the world happened to Tigerland? That was the place to be in the '70's and '80's, and I had a lot of friends who lived there (all LSU students) and spent a LOT of time at the Tiger Lair Lounge (in the Tiger Plaza Apartments.). It's full-on ghetto now.
Armed, black, suspects mean nothing these days. Remember Alton Sterling? He's become a martyr for the cause after he attempted to pull a weapon on an officer. He's been portrayed as a family man who was minding his own business and selling (bootleg) CDs to support his family.
