The Advocate
This dude is about to get fricked.
My only plausible explanation for why he may have lied is that he pulled his weapon and accidentally discharged it and tried to cover his arse. This story just doesn't make sense.
quote:
The Baton Rouge Police officer who shot at a civilian then incorrectly reported that he had fired only in response to the man's gunfire was terminated Thursday.
Yuseff Hamadeh was fired after an internal investigation into the Aug. 7 officer-involved shooting, where he claimed a civilian first shot at him — however no evidence supported that claim.
quote:
About three weeks after the incident, District Attorney Hillar Moore III chose not to pursue the case against Howard, citing insufficient evidence. He said of multiple witnesses interviewed by investigators, only one person said two shots were fired: Hamadeh.
Hamadeh was also the officer who shot and killed another man in June 2017, also after a traffic stop.
In that incident, police said Hamadeh fired his weapon after Jordan Frazier turned and pointed a weapon at officers. Hamadeh was later awarded a medal of valor for his response in that incident.

well there was one witness who testified they heard 2 shots so i cant say he should be fired for the shooting if his service weapon was only fired once.
but i would have no problem if he was fired just for turning off his body cam and car cam
i just have seen far too many times the mob mentality will instantly lie and claim the cop was wrong only to find clear video evidence 30 witnesses lied about everything because they dont like cops.
this sounds like a he said he said with a witness who herd 2 shots which supports the cops version of being fired at. thats enough for me to give the cop the benefit of the doubt but still agree the perp gets a walk because it cant be proven.
unless the cop fired both shots from his service weapon, in that case i support firing his arse and they should sue him for whatever they can get

Incidents like this is why you need a body cam. If I were a cop I would never turn mine off.

Did you not read the quotes above yours? The only witness who claimed 2 shots was the cop.
