SWB and the retards on the Metro Council will sell out BRPD and throw money at the Sterling family, just like they did with the protestors.
Just curious if the family gets any money how it will be distributed & to who
Does it go in a trust for the kid to go to college?
Does it go to the mother of kid to help raise them?
If so, does that amount of money offset any other money that they would get on a monthly basis?

Didn't the kid get 2 million from the GoFundMe already

I don't know if it was that much but it was north of $800k. About $795k more than that POS would of given his kids throughout life. I liked how the mother of some of his kids was saying how their father was taken away. I mean technically he was taken away but it's not like they had a relationship with him anyway.

He is fixing to get a huge check thanks to SWB complements of the city of BR and EBRP tax payers.

You better check your privilege.

I’m sure there are proper procedures to deescalate these types of problems that does not include putting a gun to a guys head and telling him that he’s going to “fricking kill” him.
How about we put you in that situation and you can show everyone how it should be done. But, it has to be EXACTLY the same. You have to be scared shitless that you're possibly about to be killed. I want to hear how you calmly and politely ask that fine gentleman to play nice.
It's so easy to sit and criticize, justify, and refuse to think that there is anything wrong with an armed, stoned, felon who is breaking the law, has been reported to the police, refuses to cooperate and tries to kill the cops. You think he should have been left alone to stand there in the middle of the night selling bootleg cd's, high as a kite, and maybe kill some people because of the color of his skin. You're good with that. Normal, rational people of ANY COLOR are not.

What should he have done, asked nicely for him to please put his hands up? Go frick yourself.

Or does civil service supersede that?

I'm not asking for anyone to be fired or not fired but is there any job in the private sector where you can have bad outcomes on the job and get 2 years paid leave - and then feel entitled to not be fired? Especially after your company eventually gets exposed to a civil suit?
I understand that the actions of Alton Sterling primarily dictated the outcome but does "somebody else screwed it up" give you immunity when you lose the Anderson account?
Maybe it's a hot take but I think its best if everyone involved moved on.

The city is exposing itself to another civil suit if they fire him. He will then sue the city, mayor, new police chief, countersue the family, etc for the firing....and he will at least win against the city

Which private sector job would you find yourself fighting for your life with an armed felon?

Only reason he will appeal and sue is to retain representation from union appointed attorney

It’s not like they were jetting off to the Bahamas & playing tennis all day while getting paid
They received somewhere between 30-40k in per each year
They were not allowed to work details
Their spouses had to miss work / change jobs because of threats
They had to deal with family members getting threats
They had to sell homes / relocate because of threats
Regardless of the fact that they had to take a life in order to save their own they still have to live with what happened that night

I really don’t understand why he would even want to remain here. I mean, are you really missing much if you leave? A large segment of the population of the city would probably like to see you dead, and others have him hung so as to avenge some bogey man they have in their head that’s at the root of all their self inflicted problems in life, we all know thats true, and you work for a police force who’s top leadership (mayor and co) wants you gone and others on the the political side would probably like to throw you to the wolves and appease the foaming masses.
What are you missing? It’s not like there aren’t actual nice places to live in America.

I think they’re both hanging on long enough to either be reinstated and quit, or let Broome fire them then sue the shite out of the city. Either way, they’ll eventually be gone, and hopefully they’ll go find a good department to work for. They were both SRT, so they must’ve been really good cops.
Although, I wouldn’t blame them for finding other careers after this bullshite

I basically said the same thing earlier. I said IF (and it's a big IF), Broome stick was smart; she wouldn't fire them because they will end up quitting. When she has Paul fire them, city gets sued.

Another big thing is that Sterling was Howie Lake’s second OIS in under two years. He may be sick of this shite.

the stated reason his client will be fired is because the officer violated police department policy by putting his gun to Sterling's head and telling Sterling he was going to "f*cking kill" him as soon as Sterling refused to put his hands on the car when the officers first approached him.
