Baton Rouge isn't the only place this is happening, it's everywhere. All we need are some leaders in the right places and things will change. This is hopefully the beginning of a purge that's needed.

The Broome administration “settled” with the Sterling shake down crew, but that settlement is going to look small after this is finished.
I believe Broome will do all she can to kick the can down the road until after her next election (2024).
She already covered up one scandal the Stormwatergate and now this is popping up. She’s going to have a lot of baggage now and I wonder if her downtown sponsors will cut her lose?
The judges removed her from the SG lawsuit but that got little play when they conveniently said the petition was incomplete.
Her ace in the hole us MovEBR. There are a lot of discretionary funds in there she can use and a lot of the bug road widening projects are timed to start next year. I expect to see her in her hard hat and with her shovel at least once a week as she uses out tax dollars to get re-elected.
EBR needs a mayor to lead the entire parish. Will our leaders get behind a reform candidate. Black, White, of Hispanic it doesn’t matter. We need someone that knows what they are doing, knows who to hire in there administration, and who can bring law and order to the mean streets of EBR.

She will try but the public pressure over the lawsuits plus the Feds looking to score points likely means a consent decree.
Look at New Orleans and tell me that a consent decree for BRPD is going to make this shite show BETTER.

Which matches the incident I mentioned, which other people covered, where MP dog cursed a councilman at a memorial rally in 2019.

I posted a copy of the complaint letter a page or two back on that incident asking if anyone doubt it happened as described in that letter

I’d have to hear a justification but my guess is that the council repeatedly harped on MP about the passes some officers got from the disciplinary committees and he showed his arse to them.
The officer at the heart of this case is one who was specifically given a pass because daddy is a powerful officer tight with MP.
