This guy is balking at the cost of the shirt. He will shite if he finds out he has to pay someone $2 to clean it every week or so.

I'm questioning why it's better than a comparable $40 or $50 shirt. I didn't say it wasn't worth it, but I've paid good money for some things that didn't live up to their billing. $100 a pop when you're looking at buying 10 or so is a decent amount of change.

You just said they are too formal for what you regularly wear. You are starting to sound like the guy that wears a braided fake leather belt, Jordache pants, and a short sleeve button down, and a clip on for your court dates.

I pretty clearly said business casual. Those really need a tie to look complete. Nothing wrong with that, but no reason to wear a tie every day when you don't have to.

Someone enlighten me, because I've only paid that much for a shirt maybe twice in my life, but what's the draw to these? I'm willing to try them, but that's a lot of dough for a shirt. Why is it a value and not a waste?

They're very well made shirts. I buy a lot of the Golden Fleece dress shirts. The quality is great.

Also, trying to figure out their fits....what do most of you prefer? Regular, slim or extra slim.....pretty sure that latter is a total no-go for me. My experience with slim fits is they are just too damn restrictive.

I'm 6'2" 185 and I prefer the slim. Regular is just too baggy in the back for some reason.

Thank you for a serious response. I appreciate that insight.

That makes me think the slim is about right for me. I often have that same issue with button-downs unless I get the tailored fits.

You can usually buy them 3 for $99 online. I know there's a physical store in downtown Chicago that gets really good reviews and you usually only find really good stores in that area of Chicago. I only have one that I own but I consider it to be very good quality. Here's a very recent comparison article on CT vs BB: LINK

Regent is the best Brooks Bros. fit for normal sized people. You can get 5+ years of regular wear out of them.

I order CT shirts regularly and are happy with them.

The slim fit medium size fits me very well.

Fit is the most important factor to me when buying clothes.

I use these a lot as well. They're very good for more inexpensive shirts. Definitely better than products made in third world countries. They have a lot of sales with free shipping to the US, and they include brass collar stays... which is nice.

Now that the Semi Annual sale is over, the summer sale is 4 shirts for $199. Much better deal as I said earlier in thread.

The semi annual sale is not actually their best sale. You can get their dress shirts for 60/shirt and polos for 40 each later in the year.

When is this sale?
