How is it different than a stuntman in a movie?
Yes everyone knows it's choreographed. No different than the majority of tv shows that follow a script
But there are legitimate injuries that occur; so it isn't really fake

I loved it as a kid.
And then got back into it in college, when I fully knew it was all scripted bullshite. But me and my roommate loved it because it was hilarious, not because it was "real."

I still watch. The writing and storylines suck these days but the overall talent from a physical standpoint is better imo.
