I’ve got a long iron gate on my driveway. It opens back and forth electrically.

The main post — weight bearing — is leaning. Apparently it was installed with too little cement. The foundation that holds it up is failing.

Who fixes that?

I mean shite, if you can diagnose the problem then you fix it. Or just about any handyman if you’re a ladyboy.

I imagine most fencing contractors are like other contractors, don’t want to bother with repairs since not much money in it.

I can fix it. Time is the issue. I’d have to take down the gate, bust up the old concrete, enlarge the hole, pour new concrete, set the post, and reinstall the gate. None of that is hard. It just takes more time than I have.

Just attach a wheel to the gate. Take the weight off. Report back.

Well where are you located?

I use Scott Fence and have used them for 30 years and my father used them for that long before me. Good fence and gate guys, good crews, competitive pricing, show up when they say and get the job done and he has repair crews that will come do the repair.
