Bringing 10 year olds to R rated movies: trashy AF right?

Saw Deadpool yesterday afternoon. (Awesome BTW, and Mrs Brody is lovely in it
)
But the theater had tons of kids that looked around 10 years old there with parents. I mean if you want to expose your kids to Ryan Reynolds teabagging folks and getting fricked in the arse by Mrs Brody I guess its your choice as a shitty parent. Probably also why this country is going down the shitter.

Meh, it is way, way down the laundry list of reasons for that.

Well now my interest is piqued.
Those kids are two clicks away from stuff ten times worse than this, though.

Agree. But its slightly less trashy if you go to matinees. Different crowd once the sun goes down.

I was watching R rated movies with my dad when I was younger than that.

Years ago I saw The People vs. Larry Flint and in the theater was a woman who had brought along 2 kids who looked no older than 8. It was also like a 10 o'clock showing
And yes, before you ask, this was in Baton Rouge

Saw the same thing yesterday at 6 pm... You can call it whatever name you want, but "responsible parenting" isn't one if them.

Or you know when you don't coddle your kids and act like they are glass then they can actually handle what life throws at them when they are older.

if you're talking about a great film (like pan's labyrinth) or one that was socially/historically significant (like saving private ryan) then you have a point. but if you're talking about deadpool? no

When I was 9, my friends dad took us to a late night viewing of Sharky's Machine. Probably a bit ridiculous. My son turned 11 this week and it's not happening yet. Maybe in a year or two.
