Over a dog spending the night in the cold.
I know an old man who had the police show up at his house because the neighbors wouldn't quit calling them about his beagles being outside. In a covered pen. With heat lamps and hay.
Subdivision Dog people are the worst.
Eta: also happened again because of his horse. Those fricking people expected him to have a heated barn for his horse in louisiana and thought lack of one was reason for the law to get involved. People as a whole are such a shitty species.

Yeah I agree, but there is very little gray area in these discussions - most of the posts I’ve seen about this on social media are essentially take them inside or you’re guilty of animal cruelty.
