(2015 Kia Soul) Went to get an estimate (Les Schwab) and they said and I quote: "You need to replace all rotors (only rear needed), all calipers (not needed), and pads will run me $1,388.71." I ended up buying my rear premium rotors and ceramic pads for both front and rear and ended costing me $412.55. Nearly ONE GRAND for bullshite and labor...wow.

replacing these brake pads and rotors is a freaking breeze..and the spark plugs..right on top..better than that Ford POS truck I had.

97K miles and the rear ones were grooved in bad... and shite quality brake pads. Front pads were in so-so shape but the rotors were in great shape.

You could’ve done that for a lot cheaper than $416

You seem obsessed with how much just about everything costs.

I've never seen calipers needing to be replaced.
Rebuilt, yes, not replaced.

They saw in that Kia Soul and thought you were clueless so they tried to take advantage of you.

yeah I'm a cheapskate and that means I have done good financially. Seen too many family/friends of mine get taken far too many times. Most people would be ok financially if they did their homework on stuff rather than go all impulse on purchases..

Yep brakes is one thing that’s worth it to do yourself. You may need a special caliper tool (as opposed to using a C clamp)- O’Reilly will let you use theirs instead of buying.

Please don’t tell this guy to do his own brakes, he just spent $400.00 on $150.00 worth of parts for a freaking Kia.
