You'd be better off taking Congress to Bunker Hill/Constitution. You wouldn't have to drive on College at all except for a split second when you switchback onto the interstate.
ETA: even better, Congress to Jamestown to Continental to Constitution.

getting from I-10/siegen to jefferson/airline avoiding bluebonnet backup. I-10 service road to bluebonnet to blue cross parkway or gail or cal depending on how backed up bluebonnet is. take a left on inniswold and take an easy left or right on to jefferson completely avoiding the bluebonnet backup.
