Didn't they move Halloween? Why not St Patrick's Day?

You think Halloween has the same police and logistical issues as St. Patrick's day in Baton Rouge?

Do you eat paint chips?

Josh Eachus was giving the forecast this morning and you could tell Shingleton was off camera pointing a gun at him. All other forecasts call for rain except WBRZ.

This seems like a similar situation to a few years ago when serve thunderstorms were forecast for Endymion Saturday. Bob Breck kept coming out say there will be a break and everything will be ok, he was the only person saying that and it stormed its arse off, the parade probably should have been moved.

In 2008 it stormed and it wasn't cancelled. I had a spot under the interstate and stayed dry.

I don't think you have the right year. I know because that was the day I met my wife and I sure as shite don't remember any rain. Good crawfish though.

Just for that, I'm adding another "t". Don't be that guy. Either is widely used. Now you just sound like a bidch.

I wasn't being serious, a-hole.

But I did think it was rather ridiculous and bowing to whiney parents to reschedule halloween.

I remember that. It was awful weather and all they had to do was push it back a few hours

Sounds right... I still have my shirt from riding that year. I think that was also when they were doing work on the overpass and were only allowing one float on at a time, so we were stuck sitting in the float crawling down Perkins while it downpoured.

You really want to know? My family happens to make a fairly large effort for Halloween. Yes, my kids are grown out of the "going trick or treating" age, but we still put on a pretty big deal for the large number of kids that come around our neighborhood. I also had plans for the night before (Friday), including some things that could not be rescheduled. Moving the trick or treating a night earlier meant taking off early on Friday to finalize the things at home AND missing out on a previous engagement that I could not reschedule.

So, yes, it did make a difference to me.

At least this year, thanks to leap day, we won't have to hear the church folk whining about it being on a Sunday.....But I'm sure some will bitch and want it moved to a weekend....Oh, but not if it's an LSU home game.
