Yeah, there are speed cameras in Gretna operated by Gretna PD. Those might be treated differently than the private outsourced tickets.

I think I heard something about this. I'm okay with that. Glad all of the others were taken down though.
ETA: as of the end of February red light cameras are gone, but they are considering putting traffic cameras in "some" school zones. I'm assuming/hoping that this means they'll only be active during school zone times.

I remember right when I moved to new orleans I got about 5 of them the first week and didn't even know until weeks later when they started showing up one by one in the mail. Bastards.

I've read the the ones here in Baker are treated the same as red light tickets. Dunno.... anyone have any insight on this? Plenty of people drive through Baker on their way to and from Zachary.

Baker ones treated just like EBR. They have no power of any real enforcement besides just threatening letters.

I've thrown away more than ten from Baker over the years. Appeared on my credit report once. Disputed it and it was removed.
Unless a commissioned police officer actually witnesses the violation, stops the car, and issues the driver a citation right there in person it's a bullshite "civil violation" that you have no legal obligation to pay. Doesn't matter if a police department "reviews" it or puts their logo on the equipment.
