My daughter has computer orientation next week at SJA. They just sent an email saying “masks are encouraged for those not vaccinated”.

This is ridiculous! Masks aren’t required at MASS, which is mostly adults who are more “at risk” so why are masks being required at Catholic school?
I’m mad. Not sure what I’m going to do to about this yet. 3 kids at a catholic school. But I’m not going along with this. They aren’t getting vaccinated and they aren’t wearing masks. I’m over all of it. The system. The corruption. The lies. All of it. At this point i don’t even care if they go to school.

Plot Twist. They used caller ID for all who voiced concerns and complained. These names and numbers will become part of a database against extremists like all of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn’t mean my comment to be as absurdly condescending as it reads. I meant that if that’s what SJA is putting out, they are going to step away from strict adherence to LA guidelines and follow actual science.

I’ll say it again…. If I wanted my kids’ school to follow state and/or parish guidelines, I would have sent them to a public/ government school.
The whole point of sending your kids to a private school is to a bypass the government nonsense.

But that's how it should be though. They can "encourage" it all they want. I'm fine with that. It's forcing it that I take issue with.
I mean shite, I assume older people will be "encouraged" to wear masks for years and years, because it provides some level or protection (however small).

Mine are at Saint Aloysius and the faculty are reasonable. I just don’t see them enforcing this. I’m sure their heads are exploding right about now over this. I hope the teachers and schools fight the idiotic dictators. SJA won’t, but i think the catholic elementary schools and CHS will fight this. We had a daughter at SJA and a son who just finished at CHS. The 3 young ones are at Saint Als. Have a lot of friends with kids at the other catholic elementary schools. I think only SJA will be on board with covidians

I actually think very differently. I think SJA will fight it as well as Catholic. It’s the primary and elementary schools I fear will follow this completely.
