There is no way dredging the lakes, putting up side walks and picnic areas, and planting some flowers costs $80,000,000.

I have a semblance of a clue.

Dredging setting/retention ponds with about a 2-2.5 acre area for about 5-7 feet is close to $5,000,000. Disposal of dewatered dredged solids is probably another million.

How big are the lakes combined?

Could pay 20-30 students $10/hr to dredge by hand, plus waived tuition.

What other sort of projects would you rather BREC and LSU put their portion and effort of the lake effort towards?
