One of the mayor's most important duties in any city is economic development.
Would you want to locate your business in Baton Rouge with broome as mayor?
Can you name a business that broome has recruited to locate in Baton Rouge? She almost lost the Amazon hub/center.
With this new stormwater tax/fee going into effect it would accelerate businesses leaving the parish.
The lady has a reading comprehension problem and is a crook.
If I were a Fed leo I would charge her with Conspiracy to commit Fraud.

So many dumbasses hated Kip bc he had a D behind his name. But Kip was from BR, loved BR, and wanted to bring everyone together. And he was a good dude and liked to have fun and get to know people

I still think its funny she was elected into a runoff with 39% of the vote for her first term.
When you factor in the number of people who went vote (very low voter turnout), she really isn't that strong of a mayor. The problem is, no one decent wants to be a politician.
The movie Gladiator is a good example of how things are.
Caesar wanted Maximus to take over and the fact that Maximus didn't want to was the reason Caesar thought he would be a good leader.
Commodus was a coward opportunist. And when he heard Caesar tell Maximus he wanted him to take over, he was willing to do anything he had to in order to make sure Maximus would not take over once Caesar died; that he would be the one in power.
That sums up politics in general. The ones who are qualified and would be good leaders don't want anything to do with it so the power goes to jackasses who will make you believe whatever they have to just so that they can get in power because they have themselves at their best interest.
